Tim's Europe Gigs - April 2024

 Tim spent mid-April in southern France, providing lessons and concerts with guitar and banjo.

After two weeks in southern France, Tim flew to the Netherlands where a banjo workshop awaited him at the home of Tom Stuip in the Hague.

Dixieland JAZZ CRUISE to ALASKA, July 9 - 16, 2023

 Tim and Nida boarded the Holland America Westerdam in Seattle, Washington, for a return trip to Alaska, from July 9 to July 16, 2023. Tim played his banjo and conducted the Banjos Aweigh group of banjos and horns, including sax, trumpet and flute, and played song medleys from his two Banjos Aweigh books along with other song requests. Various singers also joined in the fun, including Barbara Jordan from Toronto.

Tim also backed up Barbara Jordan and other singers during the two-hour evening band concerts.

Ports of call were Seattle to Juneau, Alaska, the Hubbard Glacier, Sitka, Ketchikan, Victoria, British Columbia, then back to Seattle. The weather was beautiful throughout the week!

Tim Allan BACK IN EUROPE, September/ October 2022

 Tim was invited to perform again in Germany and France in the autumn of 2022, the first time out of Canada since the Covid lockdown.

He and Nida toured and revisited favorite towns in Germany and France, in between Tim's concert dates.

Tim's "Home Routes" Concert, from home, April 17, 2020

I was asked to participate in a livestreaming format from a Canadian organization called "Home Routes/ Chemin Chez Nous". The date allotted to me was April 17,2020. Performers from Canada and the USA have a chance to be heard during this isolation time of the pandemic.
I played a 46 minute show with my guitar, banjo, ukulele, and mandolin.

2020 JazzFest At Sea Caribbean Cruise

My wife and I had a fun 11-day cruise on the MSC Divina as part of the JazzFest At Sea group. We left Miami on January 17 and returned on January 28, 2020.

I conducted the Banjos at Sea group each morning high up in the Galaxy Lounge, offering panoramic views while playing our music. There was free time available for me to offer lessons too.

Near the end of the cruise, I joined John Skillman's band for an hour show. Lots of fun!

We stopped in Jamaica, Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Bahamas, before returning to Miami.

Because of the covid-19 pandemic, we might not be on any more cruises for a while, so thank goodness we all returned in time to avoid the virus.
